To my beloved Canada... Happy Birthday :-D

Today marks the 142nd anniversary of the 1st of July, 1867 enactment of the British North America Act of 1867, which united Canada into a country that had four provinces.

Did you know that the name Canada comes from an Iroquoian (a First Nation and Native American language family - like Mohawk, Huron-Wyandot, and Cherokee) word which means "village", Kanata, that French explorers used to call the area currently known as Quebec City?Today, Canada consists of ten provinces and three territories.
